Invoice
Invoice / Invoicing
Faktura comes from the Latin ("factura") and literally stands for "the processing". It is often used as a synonym for "invoice", but it is more of an umbrella term for documents that, based on a concluded contract, provide information about the amount due. In addition to the classic invoice, receipts or own documents that document an order can also be included under this term.
In a billing document, delivered items and amounts to be paid are shown. In addition, there are various mandatory details that an invoice must contain, such as the name of the company, the VAT ID, payment terms, etc. Further information can be found in §§ 31 - 34 of the VAT Implementation Regulations.
Invoicing is accordingly referred to as "invoicing". This also includes appended areas, such as the creation of a credit note, the issuing of reminders or the posting of the individual items. It defines the entire invoicing process.
