Gantt chart

This bar chart, named after Henry L. Gantt, is an important instrument of project management. It graphically represents the chronological sequence of various tasks and activities in the form of bars on a time axis.

Each bar defines the time frame of an activity, where the start and end date as well as the duration can be seen immediately.

This type of visualization provides a clear and easy to read overview of the adherence to the schedule.
