Bug
Bug
Definition
In IT, a bug is an error in the code of a piece of software. This leads to the software not being executed correctly or not functioning at all. This can lead to problems such as security gaps. With so-called debuggers, errors in codes are searched for and corrected.
The word "bug" derives from the insect. This can be traced back to Thomas Edison in the 19th century, as bugs repeatedly hindered the functionality of his inventions.
